Cosmic Microwave Background radiation?

That is a picture from a radio telescope. Now what in that picture decipts the CMB radiation?
Is it the blue dots or dark blue dots or orange dots?
All of it, including the blue background. The cosmic background is everywhere in the sky, and is very uniform. This is a map of the tiny variations in the cosmic background which is a current topic of study. The red spots are a tiny bit "hotter" than the average, the dark spots are a tiny bit colder.
The WMAP project is dedicated to mapping these variations.
