How do i turn off pop up auto flash with canon 400d?
I have a canon 400d but am having trouble with the pop up flash. Is there any way of turning it off with changing the wheel mode. Also my main problem is it lengthens the exposure so the image is blurred when mode is set to flash off. Is there any reason for this or should i change a setting?

You can set it to TV which is shutter mode and will go much faster without blur. Anything over 80 in shutter should give you little to no blur assuming you are not shooting fast action shots. (For fast action shots you want TV mode 200 or more.) Your flash will not pop up in this mode unless you make it. BUT your images will likely be dark since the shutter won't be open long enough to get enough light into the photo.
My recommendation: Set it to TV mode and pop your flash up manually. This will get you the 80 or more shutter speed plus light. Just be sure to make your shutter speed 80 or more so you won't get blur!
