HDMI Splitter: High end connectivity solution enabling simultaneous HDMI display from a single HDMI video source
Devices with an HDMI output can be connected to two or more HDTV displays using a HDMI Splitter. It has the ability to split the video signal, duplicate it and distribute it to multiple displays with synchronized output available on all displays. It enables a clean, simultaneous distribution of one high-definition signal to multiple HDMI displays. Set-top boxes, DVD players, D-VHS players, play stations, and other high definition devices can all be connected using these splitters. These devices provide a low cost solution for video and audio equipment integration.
Available in a wide range of sizes such as 1x2, 1x4, 2x2, 2x4, 4x4, and 2x8 models, this video distribution amplifier can be cascaded for a larger distribution. Once a flexible distribution hub is created, a user has the option to view the display on many display devices. The HDMI Matrix unit combines an HDMI splitter and an HDMI switch allowing multiple video inputs to be displayed on multiple video displays. Control is done thru push buttons on the unit or RS232, but optional methods include IR and TCP/IP control. This device includes a signal boosting system for longer cable runs. Resolutions ranging from 720i, 720p, 1080i to 1080p can all be supported by these devices thereby providing crystal clear displays. They work on the simple principle of plug and play and support devices which are HDCP compliant and FCC CE certified. It does not have any compatibility issues with any of the operating systems. Easy to install, this video splitter does not require software or drivers for operation. It does not convert the digital signals to analog and then back to digital but keeps all signals in an uncompressed digital format.
HDMI is backward compatible with DVI hence this system works with both DVI and HDMI inputs assuming proper converters are used in conjunction with the splitter. Is there any way to make an Xbox 360 output in S-video and HD RGB at the same time?
I have tried multiple cables, but they all either support only HD or only SD, or they have a selector switch that makes you choose between SD (S-video and red-white-yellow) and HD (RGB). I need to broadcast audio, RGB video, and S-video at the same time to a distribution amplifier so I can send audio and S-video to my recording device and HD video to my TV.
If you find such a cable or device, please make sure it supports optical audio as well, as I have a gaming headset that replaces TV audio.
Also, a device for converting an RGB HD signal into S-video output would solve my problem.
